ABOUT US
WHO ARE WE
We are a group of people who have Dutch ancestry and are researching our family trees. Some of us have been researching for years while others have just begun. Although we are not all Dutch born and don’t all speak Dutch we are an enthusiastic group who want share our interest in Dutch ancestry.
WHAT DO WE DO
We are not a research organization. The purpose of our group is to share our hobby and research experiences with one another and to help others get started with their genealogy and we also help each other with translations.
ARE THERE RESOURCES
Our resource library contains publications and CD’s in both English and Dutch and more are added frequently.
The resources are available for all group members to borrow, and take home to be returned and the next meeting.
WHERE DO WE MEET
We meet informally four times a year on the second Saturday of the months of February, May, August and November in the board room at the Abel Tasman Retirement Village, 22 Waldron rd. Chester Hill NSW.
ABOUT THE MEETINGS
We have had speakers from “Who do you think you are”, the National and State archives, the Huguenots Society, and family Search and regularly have talks and discussions on various subjects relating to our research such as Heraldry, DNA and preservation of documents.
WHAT DOES IT COST
There is no fee for membership to our group
A donation of $3 p.p. is requested to cover the cost of Tea and coffee.
Monies left over from this is used to purchase additional resources
